SUMMARY:UK Branch Webinar: How to do PMCT and Angiography
DESCRIPTION:The UK branch of the IAFR is excited to share our webinar entitled ‘How to do PMCT and Angiography’ with you. This webinar is for all IAFR members and will take place via zoom on Tuesday 8th February from 7-8pm. \n\nInterest in replacing invasive autopsies with PMCT scans in non-suspicious deaths is increasing in the UK. This led to the development of PMCT angiography (PMCTA) techniques to increase the range of pathologies that can be diagnosed. This presentation will explain how to complete PMCTA scans using different PMCTA techniques. It will explain a PMCTA process\, what contrasts can be used\, how to use the contrasts\, scan parameters and when PMCTA may not be required. \nDr Claire Robinson will be presenting this webinar. She is a Consultant Radiographer in post-mortem imaging in Leicester. Having been involved in forensic and post-mortem imaging and research for more than 20 years\, she has a varied experience including helping to develop targeted coronary artery PMCT angiography techniques\, completed whole body angiography research locally and as part of the international study and helped develop ventilated PMCT methods. She has also been involved in developing the use of CT in mass fatalities and has worked on several DVI incidents. Claire regularly presents at national and international conferences\, teaches on PMCT courses and has been published numerous times. She was awarded a PhD on the use of PMCT in diagnosing coronary artery disease in non-suspicious deaths in 2021. \nRegistration for Members £0 \nRegistration for Non-Members £5
