SUMMARY:ANZ Branch Webinar: The utilisation of postmortem CT scanning in disaster victim identification
DESCRIPTION:Join the ANZ Branch of IAFR for the last Webinar of 2024 with Dr Sarah Constantine. LIVE ONLY!! \nPostmortem CT can be a valuable tool in the identification of the unknown victim. Anthropological techniques can be used to estimate the age\, height\, sex and ethnicity of victims. Quality CT scanning and specialised views are necessary to assist in these techniques. This presentation will discuss some anthropological techniques and the ways in which the CT radiographer can assist. \nDr Constantine is a specialist radiologist. She obtained her MB BS from University of Adelaide in 1998 and was awarded FRANZCR in 2005. Dr Constantine undertook a fellowship in Perinatal Imaging in 2005 at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in South Australia. She has a long-standing interest in Dental Imaging and is a member of The International Association of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. Dr Constantine was a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Post-Mortem Imaging with The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2021. She has been a Forensic Radiologist for SA since 2020 and the NT since 2022. Dr Constantine provides reporting services for the dental hospitals in SA and Victoria and participates in the radiology meeting for the world-renowned Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide. \nNote: Webinar will not be recorded.
