In March, we held a site visit to SAHMRI’s Preclinical Imaging and Resarch Laboratory (PIRL) in Adelaide as part of the 2019 ASMIRT conference. SAHMRI is a dedicated preclinical research facility for large animal models of human disease research incorporating MRI & CT. The facility provides a unique opportunity for postmortem imaging to assist forensic investigations. Participants were able to view the facilities CT and MRI scanners and were given a presentation on Post Mortem imaging in the coronial setting from forensic pathologist Dr Neil Langlois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
