Imaging of Archaeological &#038; Mummified Remains"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Registration is now open for IAFR\u00a0Webinar\u00a0#10 on\u00a0<strong>Wednesday 24th April at 18:00 (BST).\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The topic of this webinar will be the\u00a0<strong>Imaging of Archaeological &amp; Mummified Remains\u00a0<\/strong>and will be delivered by Prof. Jerry Conlogue, Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT who has\u00a0over fifty years experience in applying medical imaging techniques to non-medical areas, such as art conservation, wildlife management, archaeology, anthropology and forensics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Radiographers are trained to acquire images specifically in a clinical environment. \u00a0Although their training makes them the first choice to transition into non-clinical areas, such as anthropology and forensics, additional training or review of basic imaging principles maybe required. \u00a0For example, most clinical settings have shifted from film to a digital recording media, however, in a remote field facility only film may be available. \u00a0The following presentation considers the role of the radiographer transitioning into paleoimaging and a member of a bioantrhopology research team in a variety of field situations. \u00a0In addition, the integration of advanced imaging modalities, such as multi-detector computed radiography is considered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Registration for is free for IAFR members and \u00a35 for non-members.<\/p>\n<p>Members can register online via the following <a title=\"Link to member registration\" href=\"https:\/\/app.loveadmin.com\/Login\/EBFE29893CF4861B8B2505C64F416549.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>. \u00a0You will be required to log into your LoveAdmin account and register for the webinar via the &#8216;Events&#8217;
