The IAFR Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in-person in Cape Town and online via Zoom<\/strong> on September 6th at 13:00 South African time (11:00 UTC).<\/p>\n

The meeting link and documents have been provided via email to all members \u2013 and can be accessed via the newsletter section of the Members Only<\/a>\u00a0area of our website (login required).<\/p>\n

Resolutions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members wishing to submit a resolution to the AGM must give notice in writing, supported by the signatures of 20 full members of the IAFR, to the Honorary Secretary\u00a0by\u00a0five working days prior to the\u00a0AGM (September 1st 2025)<\/strong>; the Committee shall determine whether such resolutions are valid.<\/p>\n

Proxy forms:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members who are eligible to vote under the current constitution and are unable to attend the meeting may appoint a proxy by completing and returning the proxy form to the Honorary Secretary. Proxy forms must be submitted\u00a0no later than midday (GMT) September 5th.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Election:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any Full Member of the IAFR may stand for election to the committee and must be nominated in writing by three Full Members of the IAFR. A statement from the nominee must accompany the nomination expressing their willingness to stand for election. Nominations shall be received by the Honorary Secretary\u00a0no later than 12:00 UTC on 31st August<\/strong>. The nomination form has been sent to IAFR members via email.<\/p>\n

Members may be co-opted onto the committee to fill casual vacancies that arise during the committee year, by simple majority vote of the committee. They will hold office until 30th September and shall be eligible to seek re-election.<\/p>\n
