Abstract:

Post-mortem radiography is an extremely valuable part of the autopsy process, providing information regarding the number and location of projectiles or foreign bodies within a victim, giving clues as to the shape of an object or the direction of the force that caused an injury, determining accidental versus non-accidental trauma, and aiding in the identification of individuals.  Forensic radiographers are aware that post-mortem imaging presents its own unique challenges that differ greatly from those of clinical radiography. This webinar will examine the value of post-mortem radiography and will introduce a variety of cases and challenges as well as some troubleshooting tips and tricks that can be added to your forensic radiography toolbox!
