“I have seen my death” by Dr Lené Burger.
Forensic pathologists use their medical skill and knowledge to determine the cause of death in
people who died suddenly or in suspicious circumstances. In recent years, medical imaging has
been added to our toolbox, in some cases allowing us to avoid invasive autopsies and in other
cases allowing us to plan our approach to cases before the start of the autopsy.
In this presentation Dr Burger will discuss the role of the forensic pathologist in the 21st century, and how forensic radiology can help us work smarter.
A bit about Dr Burger:
Dr Lené Burger obtained her specialist qualification in 2006, and started her career as a forensic
pathologist in Cape Town, South Africa. She moved to Sydney in 2016, where she now works as a
senior staff specialist and the Forensic Pathology Training Coordinator for NSW Health Pathology.
This is not a webinar to be missed!
