ANZ Branch Webinar: Mass Disaster Response & Support

July 27, 2022 @ 20:00 - 21:00 AEST

Free – $10

Join the ANZ branch of the IAFR for their next webinar “Mass disaster response and support” by Tara Mackay.

Tara joined Kenyon International in 2000 as a team member specialising in mass fatality/disaster support such as Search & Recovery, Personal Effects, Embalming and Repatriation. Tara has since expanded her role to Family Assistance and SAT (Special Assistance Team). Tara is the Team Member Regional Coordinator for Australasia and actively recruits and trains new team members for Kenyon.

During her 24 years of working in the death care industry, Tara has worked all around Australia, and overseas including Indonesia, Micronesia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Ireland and the UK. Tara is an independent contractor who provides technical support for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons skills laboratory in Melbourne. She also works as a qualified Embalmer training new students as well as specialising in facial and body reconstruction providing families the opportunity to say their goodbyes.

Tara is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Embalming (FAIE), the Immediate Past Chairman of the British Institute of Embalmers Australasian Division (MBIE) and a Member of the Australian New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZSFSS).

In this webinar Tara will share her experiences as a first responder deployed by Kenyon to singular and mass fatality events. Tara will share the pathway to how forensic radiographers are engaged in a deployment, and the challenges faced when servicing remote sites- Planes don’t always crash in accessible areas!
